people try to put us down.....

A petite haiku....

Remember Horton?
He heard the Who. Talkin' bout
My generation.....

Now dig my eclectic and awesome elephant banks.....the sitting is a style I have made nearly 20 years, but the dome shaped is the first time I made them like that and I love both styles....thanks for listening, have a great weekend!

I think you should wear a Roger Daltry shirt for your next blog photo!

I'm so glad to see that you have decided NOT to put a stopper in your bank. I've had an ongoing debate with Mr.Philbeck about this. I say, "what's the point, if it's too easy to get the money out?

Rock on!

I put stoppers in my certain piggy banks, and used to stopper all of my banks but I am too lazy now. I make the slot very big. There is a total generational divide though: older people, to whom a 1/4 or dime or penny used to be a big deal, think that it should be very hard to get money out of a bank. Younger people are used to change being nearly useless, except for laundry and parking, and see a bank as easy in easy out--not for saving at all, but for holding change until you go to the laundermat. I am, however, firmly in the LAZY camp :)
(people at craft fairs always have to stop and give you a lecture about their personal opinon indeed)

These are very cute. I think part of the reason people will give you their personal opinion is so that they can influence your design. I always listen, sometimes they tell me something I am willing to try sometimes they tell me I should make jars that say "belly button lint" on them and I don't listen. Okay, that only happened once.
